Nice idea. I've been thinking lately that the much-maligned genre of "edutainment" is going to come back tremendously now that games are cheap and quick to make for any concept you might want to learn.
Unlike normal game projects, they don't need to be as raw fun as a professional game, nor cover a popular-enough topic to be sellable to others, they just need to be fun enough to make you stick with the learning process for an afternoon.
I have recently published Chip Builder, a game where you create your own chip from transistors, write machine code and coordinate the processes in the factory to actually ship the chip.
You then transition from Chip Architect to CEO and lead the entire company. The game transforms into a turn-based grand strategy game where you navigate economical and geopolitical challenges across multiple eras, starting with 1947. You hire engineers and your c-suite team, delegate tasks, invest the company's money, raise funding or even go public and deal with competition. Rivals will poach your top people, engage in corporate espionage to sabotage your company and steal your intellectual property.
I have added also significant historical events as easter eggs, celebrating past scientific achievements (humanity is awesome!).
On top of that, you need to deal with vendors, some of them cheap and unreliable, deal with new environmental regulation or comply with trade wars between countries.
Holy gracious smokes...
I rarely comment on such cases, but... but sometimes it's so challenging to... to realize how "AI" is getting used nowadays even if you try closing eyes on it already just to keep moving forward... and not stagnate in sorrow...
I've just noticed the following video-game posted, and which was blurred by an anti-AI extension installed, "AI Warning For Steam".
I would skip it entirely if not a recent conversation regarding it noticed on certain IRC channel, and myself having experience in crystal manufactories...
Then, I opened the Steam store page, and read:
> # AI Generated Content Disclosure...

> Some of the artwork used on this store page, including the capsule art, was created using generative AI tools.

Dear ruby smokes... The Authors, Artists, Developers of such projects, please do consider taking a photo of an actual motherboard with the logo engraved or applied in Photoshop... and remove this sorrowful disclosure...
Otherwise, your project may get missed, unnoticed, and not get a significant attention from those who actually search for it...
